Elton Cancels Concerts

Sir Elton John has been forced to cancel three performances of his Face 2 Face tour with Billy Joel after contracting an E. coli bacterial infection and influenza. Shows scheduled for November 4 in Seattle, November 7 in Seattle, and November 10 in Portland have been canceled.

While the concerts have not been rescheduled, according to John's website, organizers of the events are working to establish new dates. In the meantime, fans are asked to hold on to their tickets until more information is available.

John is being treated at King Edward VII Hospital in Marylebone, London, reports the Daily Mail. The performer was taken there Friday after his condition worsened and he was forced to cancel a performance in Dublin that would have concluded his Red Piano Tour.
