Carrie Prejean and the Miss California pageant have called a truce. Both parties on Tuesday dropped suits filed against one another.
"Carrie Prejean, [pageant director] Keith Lewis, and [independent pageant producers] K2
productions have dropped their claim against each other and wish each
other the best in their future endeavors," according to the official
settlement statement, reports website E! Online.
Prejean filed suit against the pageant organization, including actress and pageant codirector Shanna Moakler, for slander, libel, religious discrimination, public disclosure of private facts, and infliction of emotional distress.
In response, the Miss California pageant, part of the Miss Universe organization run by Donald Trump, countersued, requesting that she return the $5,200 it paid for her breast augmentation.
