Madonna, previously the face of Louis Vuitton, is now striking a pose for Dolce & Gabbana's Spring/Summer 2010 ad campaign. Steven Klein photographed the queen of pop in New York on Monday.

According to the company, Madonna reflects the line's renewed Italian sensibility.

"As Dolce & Gabbana's Spring/Summer 2010 collection returned to the Italian roots of the brand, evoking its strong heritage... it seemed only fitting that Madonna, who embodies both the strong sensuality of the brand and who shares an Italian heritage with the designers, should be the one to showcase the Sicilian inspired collection," statedSwide, the fashion house's online magazine.

"To have Madonna in our campaign is a dream come true," said out designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana in a statement onSwide's website.

Klein previously worked with Madonna on an exhibition and book X-STaTIC PRO-CeSS in 2003. Segments of the installation were later incorporated into the opening of Madge's 2004 Re-Invention World Tour.
