Lindsay Lohan's estranged father, Michael, expressed disgust that his daughter plans to play Deep Throat porn star Linda Lovelace in an upcoming biopic.
According to UsMagazine.com, Michael Lohan recoiled when asked about the prospect Friday night in New York City. He said the move would irreparably damage the 23-year-old's career.
"What do you think?" said Lohan. "Come on! Seriously -- why? She did Parent Trap, Confessions [of a Teenage Drama Queen], Freaky Friday, Mean Girls, Just My Luck and Herbie. And you know what? Georgia Rule was a fantastic movie," he said. "People don't give her credit for it, but that was one of her best acting jobs. But I mean, she started with Parent Trap and now this? Why? Who makes these decisions? If I was there, it would never happen, believe me. There's no way to resurrect your career after that. So many people have come to me with offers for Lindsay for great family-style films, general audience kind of releases, but you know ... whatever."
But Michael Lohan also relayed his confidence that an intervention might help his daughter reinvigorate her career "just like Robert Downey Jr."
Father Michael and daughter Lindsay have feuded publicly for some time over his allegations that she continues to struggle with drugs and needs rehab, which the actress denies.
