Porn Star Gus Mattox Slings and Sings

Tom Judson -- the performer formerly known as gay porn star Gus Mattox -- has staged his one-man show for a trial run in Los Angeles before heading to Provincetown, Mass., in June for a summer-long run.

In Canned Ham, Judson recalls the awkward feeling he had when he was in Los Angeles performing in the national tour of 42nd Street at the Ahmanson, only to drive across town later that evening to shoot his first gay porn scene for Chi Chi LaRue ... in a sling.

The show is a mix of comedy and drama, with Judson recounting a lover's early death from AIDS and his own darkly comic suicide attempt. Judson wrote about the show last year for The Advocate.
