10. The Golden Girls: The Christmas Episodes
Get out those tacky sweaters and glittery brooches, because The Golden Girls: The Christmas Episodes, the 8th Annual All Drag Xmas Exdrag-a-ganza, has returned to San Francisco at the Victoria Theatre. Since 2005, Heklina (Dorothy), Cookie Dough (Sophia), Matthew Martin (Blanche), and Pollo Del Mar (Rose) have been performing every year as the Golden Girls. The two featured episodes that will be performed are "Rose The Prude/Blanche and the Younger Man" and "Ladies of the Evening." The Golden Girls: The Christmas Episodes runs December 5-22. Audience members are encouraged to wear their Christmas sweater best, just like those four classy dames would do. -- Nicholas Cimarusti
9. FILM: Inside Llewyn Davis
Inside Llewyn Davis, a new film by the Coen brothers, is loosely based on the life of Dave Van Ronk, a New York folk singer who is remembered by many in the LGBT community as one of the handful arrested during the Stonewall riots. "As far as I was concerned, anybody who'd stand against the cops was all right with me," the ally reportedly stated. Llewyn Davis (Oscar Isaac) might also be called a character in search of a revolution -- he haunts the street corners and clubs of 1961 Greenwich Village with a guitar in hand, seeking an audience or, at the very least, a place to escape the winter cold. On his journey through the musical underworld (which, like the Coens' O Brother, Where Art Thou, pays homage to Homer's Odyssey), he encounters a talented cast of colorful musicians, including ex-lover Jean (Carey Mulligan), her partner (Justin Timberlake), and jazz artist Roland (John Goodman). There's also a lost cat in need of saving. Although Davis's own talents as a musician are under scrutiny in the world of the film, real-life critics are singing their praises for Inside Llewyn Davis, lauding its dark humor, satire, and soundtrack that breathes new life into the era of folk revival. Inside Llewyn Davis opens in limited release December 6. Watch the trailer below. -- Daniel Reynolds
7. DVD: In Your Dreams, Stevie Nicks
Stevie Nicks and Dave Stewart's intimate documentary, In Your Dreams, is now available on DVD. Nicks, the bewitching legendary songstress, and Stewart, a music producer, filmmaker, and formerly one-half of the Eurythmics, document the creative process behind Nicks's first solo album in a decade. Stewart's contribution marks the first time Nicks has ever collaborated on a solo project. After the sold-out success of Fleetwood Mac's 2013 world tour, Nicks describes this year as the greatest of her life. In Your Dreams reveals Nicks's fascinating private world and features cameo appearances by a majestic white stallion, Edgar Allan Poe, and Mick Fleetwood. - Nicholas Cimarusti
6. COMICS: QU33R
Northwest Press continues its mission is to publish quality queer comics and increase the visibility of LGBT comics in general with a new 264-page anthology titled Qu33r. This all-new collection is edited by Ignatz Award-nominated Rob Kirby, and features new comics from 33 contributors -- legends and new faces alike. Though publishing opportunities for queer cartoonists and queer subject matter are still limited today, Qu33r shines a bright light on not only the great strides that have been made in the comics industry for LGBT creators, but the bright future that is in store for them, as well. - Jase Peeples

5. MUSIC: Hi Fashion, "Freak Your Halls"
Hi Fashion, the off-kilter performance group that brought you "I'm Not Madonna" and "Eighteen," has a holiday video out that hits close to home (and the office): "Freak Your Halls." Members of Hi Fashion throw an office party, but it is vastly unlike any water cooler social you've been to before. The music video is full of naughty holiday puns that will make you ditch your nice office demeanor for a quick romp in the copy room. Anything goes in this kinky workplace; the line, "OMG if HR finds out, we're screwed," just about sums up the song's holiday spirit. As the song says, "toss your tinsel," "trim your tree" and don't forget to "Freak Your Halls." - Nicholas Cimarusti
4. DVD: Mr. Angel
As a transgender porn star, Buck Angel has made a name for himself in the world of adult entertainment as "the man with the pussy." This distinction has led Angel, who has undergone hormone replacement therapy but not genital surgery, to be interviewed by prominent talk show hosts like Maury Povich, Howard Stern, and Tyra Banks, with whom he shares his unique and oft-controversial voice as a trans advocate ("I love my vagina," he famously told Banks). In the documentary Mr. Angel, which was filmed over the course of six years, director Dan Hunt probes deeper within the story of Buck Angel, revealing his past as troubled youth struggling with gender identity, and his rise to become a pioneer in the porn industry and beyond. On December 3, Mr. Angel was released on DVD. Watch the trailer below. -- Daniel Reynolds
3. MUSIC: Britney Jean, Britney Spears
Spears's eighth album is now out, and it's supposed to be her most personal collection to date ("Work Bitch" may be an outlier). Utilizing a small village of producers including William Orbit and will.i.am, Britney Jean is viewed as a sequel to Blackout, Brit's sensational electronica album released during the heady days of '07. As everyone knows, Spears is bringing the album, and the rest of her hits, to Vegas's Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino this month for the start of a huge headlining gig. 2. EVENT: Cyndi Lauper's "Home for the Holidays" Benefit Concert
One of Cyndi Lauper's most significant passion projects is to stop LGBT youth from succumbing to homelessness. So she invites some of her coolest pals (Pink! Big Freedia! Josh Groban!) to a sell-out crowd every year in New York City to raise money for the thousands of LGBT youth on the streets for her True Colors Fund's Forty To None project. "My hope is that through this inspiring evening of music and comedy we can raise awareness and much-needed funds to help these young people through our Forty to None Project," she says. Go "Home for the Holidays" December 7 at 8 p.m. -- Michelle Garcia
