10. MUSIC: Hendra, Ben Watt
Ben Watt, writer, DJ, and male force behind legendary Brit band Everything But the Girl, releases his second solo album Tuesday (his first, North Marine Drive, came out 31 years ago). The quiet collection of 10 songs is a long way from the 1990s dance classic "Missing," but Watt has weightier issues than club life on his mind, like mourning and gun control. Listen to the title track below. - Neal Broverman
9. EVENT: L.A. Asian Pacific Film Festival
There's no better way to celebrate the L.A. Asian Pacific Film Festival's 30th year than with beloved gay septuagenarian George Takei. The new documentary To Be Takei will kick off the festival with a glimpse into Takei's life with his husband, Brad, especially around his activist work in both LGBT rights and equality for Asian people. Star Trek fans get a little bonus: The documentary includes fascinating interviews with Takei's costars, including Nichelle Nichols, William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy, who talk about Lieutenant Sulu's second wave of fame. Opens Thursday and runs through May 11. - Michelle Garcia
8. MUSIC: "Fall Into Love," Wrathschild
When you combine independent artists Simon Curtis and Wolfy, the result is Wrathschild, and "Fall Into Love" is the first single from their collaboration. The song recently premiered on Billboard.com, and a music video was released this month. Take a listen, and "let's fall into lo-o-ove tonight." -- Lucas Grindley
7. THEATER: The Mystery of Irma Vep
The late Charles Ludlam's classic send-up of gothic melodramas, with dashes of Poe, Hitchcock, and Shakespeare, gets a 30th-anniversary revival in New York City. After the mysterious death of his first wife, the titular Irma, Lord Edgar brings new mate Lady Enid to his creepy estate, Mandacrest, where werewolves, vampires, and mummies lurk. Two actors play multiple roles under the direction of Everett Quinton, Ludlam's life partner, who costarred with him in the original production. Red Bull Theater presents the show at the Lucille Lortel Theater in Greenwich Village; it runs through May 11, and there will be onstage discussions after the next two Sunday matinees. Tickets and more info here. - Trudy Ring
6. EVENT: The Significance of LGBT Pulp Fiction
Pulp fiction may have started out as a genre of subpar novels with racy subject matter, but so many of the titles that defined the genre have practically become classics, especially within LGBT fiction. Gay and lesbian pulp fiction started in the 1930s and exploded by the 1960s, creating a "golden age" of the era. Take a trip into the past (or down memory lane) with the One Archives Foundation's retrospective of LGBT Pulp Fiction Tuesday at the Palm Springs Public Library in Palm Springs, Calif., featuring author Katherine V. Forrest. - Michelle Garcia
5. TV: Faking It
This week marked the debut of Faking It, MTV's teen comedy about two high school girls who fake a relationship with each other in order to achieve popularity. While the premise has raised a few eyebrows among LGBT audiences, Faking It's heart is certainly in the right place, portraying a fictional world of acceptance that's meant to serve as an example for the real world. "It's something that we want people to look up to and say ... that's something we can live up to and maybe create one day," said actress Rita Volk at a recent panel. In the pilot episode, now available online, Volk's character, Amy, shares a public kiss with her best friend, revealing through lovelorn looks that she may not be faking her affection after all. It's a twist that will certainly pull viewers back for more Tuesdays at 10:30 p.m. Eastern. Watch the trailer below. - Daniel Reynolds
4. DVD: Bettie Page Reveals All
With Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Mark Mori's stunning documentary Bettie Page Reveals All, fans get something they've never gotten before -- to hear from Bettie Page herself. Told with audio that was taped a decade prior to her death in 2008, along with video, photos, and artwork of Page from her childhood into her 40s, the film is a fascinating, heartbreaking, and often humorous look at the life of a woman who has influenced fashion, pop culture, and women's rights movements immensely, along with stars such as Katy Perry and Beyonce. In 2012, Forbes listed the irresistible style icon as one of the top 10 posthumous celebrity earners. Catch the DVD or Blu-Ray out now. - Diane Anderson-Minshal

2. FILM: Brick Mansions
Fans of Paul Walker will certainly want to see Brick Mansions, the last movie that the late action star filmed to completion. Based on the hit French thriller District B13, Brick Mansions centers on Walker's character, undercover cop Damien Collier, who joins forces with an ex-con (David Belle) in order to thwart a plan that will destroy a fictionalized version of Detriot, a city whose once great buildings have now been taken over by criminals. It's action- and ab-packed, and a fitting vehicle to showcase Walker's power as a charismatic leading man. Brick Mansions debuts in theaters this weekend. Watch the trailer below. - Daniel Reynolds
1. EVENT: The White Party, Palm Springs
The biggest gay party of them all celebrates its 25th anniversary with nonstop revelry in the California desert, starting today and continuing into Monday morning.
