10. WEB: Fashionista & Glamour Girl
Joan Rivers delivers her signature sass in this new hi-fashion and hi-larious animated series that dares to boldly go where no superhero has gone before - the red carpet. Crotchety seamstress Roxanne Bischoff (Rivers) provides alterations and a steady stream of blunt opinions in the back of the Tyler Department Store by day, but when crimes against fashion threaten good taste she transforms into the fabulous superhero Fashionista. She and her trusty sidekick, Glamour Girl (voiced by Christina Milian), form a trendsetting dynamic duo on a mission to make the world a better place by saving one fashion victim at a time. 9. MUSIC: Unrepentant Geraldines, Tori Amos
After a series of more esoteric, experimental albums, Tori Amos returns to her piano-based roots with her 14th studio album, Unrepentant Geraldines. The legendary singer-songwriter gets personal and inspirational on her new record, which is already garnering rave reviews from the likes of Rolling Stone, which called it "an appreciative portrayal of the singer's experiences with visual art." The album drops Tuesday, just two months before her worldwide tour embarks on its North American leg, starting at Vancouver, Canada's Orpheum Theater July 16, then trekking across the U.S. to a final performance in Miami August 24. 8. THEATER: Holding the Man
A real-life love story both funny and moving, Holding the Man makes its Los Angeles premiere after multiple sold-out seasons in Australia and a successful run in London's West End. Adapted for the stage by Tommy Murphy from Timothy Conigrave's best-selling memoir, it traces Conigrave's relationship with John Caleo from its beginnings at a boys' school in Melbourne in the 1970s through the many challenges the men faced. Larry Moss directs an all-Australian cast in this Australian Theatre Company production at L.A.'s Matrix Theatre, previewing tonight, opening Saturday, and running through June 29. Truth - Sean Paul Lockhart

7. DVD: Truth
Truth, a psychological thriller starring former porn star Sean Paul Lockhart (a.k.a. Brent Corrigan), is now available on DVD. The plot follows Caleb (Lockhart) as he pursues a romance with Jeremy (Rob Moretti), whom he met online. As they begin to fall for each other, it soon becomes clear that there is more to Caleb than meets the eye. A troubled past and a mentally ill mother are among the dark secrets he tries to conceal from his new lover, who finds himself tangled in Caleb's web of lies. Steamy and suspenseful, Truth is a cautionary tale of romance in the digital age that also features a stellar performance from Emmy-winner Blanche Baker, of Sixteen Candles fame. 6. TV: Rosemary's Baby
In NBC's two-part reimagining of Rosemary's Baby, you will note the freaky lengths Rosemary and Guy Woodhouse go to in order to live a better life in Paris. They soon realize, however, that their growing child is not exactly the bouncing baby that the stork brought. Zoe Saldana reprises one of Mia Farrow's most iconic roles, with Patrick J. Adams of Suits playing her husband. No matter what you think about NBC's sudden urge to remake old movies for television, this will be worth watching for any number of reasons - whether you'll find it enjoyable or decide it's a perfect basis for a drinking game. - Michelle Garcia

Flower of Iowa

5. BOOK: Flower of Iowa, Lance Ringel
As this year marks 100 years since the beginning of World War I, history buffs out there might want to pick up Lance Ringel's novel, about two soldiers -- one American and one British -- who fall in love near the end of the war while fighting alongside each other. Sci-Fest

4. EVENT: Sci-Fest
A fan of sci-fi and theater? Then be sure not to miss Sci-Fest, the first festival of its kind in Los Angeles to bring the classics of science fiction to the stage. Ray Bradbury's Kaleidoscope, Ursula LeGuin's The Wife's Story, and more will be presented at Acme Theater Hollywood in a series of one-act plays, featuring stars of popular sci-fi films and TV shows like gay actor and festival founder David Dean Bottrell (True Blood, Boston Legal). Dolly Parton - Blue Smoke

3. MUSIC: Dolly Parton, Blue Smoke
Here she comes again, sounding better than a body has a right to. Miss Dolly releases her 42nd studio album, Blue Smoke, a mix of originals and covers, traditional country and smooth pop. Over the course of the album, Parton gives a gospel treatment Bon Jovi's "Lay Your Hands on Me," brings a woman's viewpoint to the Bob Dylan classic "Don't Think Twice," and creates a framing story for the venerable ballad "Banks of the Ohio." Kenny Rogers and Willie Nelson contribute guest vocals. Penny Dreadful

2. TV: Penny Dreadful
Timothy Dalton and Eva Green star as detective spiritualists in Penny Dreadful, a supernatural reimagining of Victorian England that pits the duo against vampires, demons, and other paranormal creatures. The Showtime series is notable for the comeback of Josh Hartnett, who plays an American gunman assisting Dalton and Green on their crusade. From gay creator and writer, John Logan (Skyfall, Hugo, Gladiator), Penny Dreadful also features many literary characters, such as Frankenstein and Dorian Gray, fictional outsiders who are sure to strike a chord with a real-life LGBT audience. The comedy Neighbors has critics raving about the performance of Zac Efron, who plays the head of a wild fraternity whose house is next door to a more traditional suburban home inhabited by Seth Rogen and his family.
