Hs20140523_10_010. MUSIC: Wild Life, Hedley
Long a mainstay of Canadian radio, Vancouver-based group Hedley is ready to cross over across the border. The band's fourth album, Wild Life, featuring "R&B-infused tracks and elctro-pop tunes," is out now. Catch the video for "Crazy for You" below. - Neal Broverman

Hs20140523_9_09. THEATER: The Sensuous Woman
The sensuous and hilarious Margaret Cho stars in a revue of burlesque, music, comedy, and belly dance at the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center's Renberg Theater. The one-night-only engagement, this Saturday, is a benefit for performer Selene Luna, who needs to make up for income lost after being laid up for two months. Luna will appear in the show as well, along with Liam Sullivan, John Roberts, burlesque star Princess Farhana, and special guests to be announced. Trans comedian Ian Harvie hosts. Reserve your seats here. - Trudy Ring

Hs20140523_8_08. EXHIBIT: "Four Decades of Biconic Bay Area Bisexual Activism"
A new multimedia exhibit tells the story of San Francisco Bay Area's bisexual activism from the 1970s to the present. The show, at the GLBT History Museum in San Francisco, incorporates materials from longtime bisexual activists, in addition to the museum's own archives, using artifacts, video, and photos from key moments in local and national bisexual political history. Sounds like a pilgrimage is in order. It opens next Thursday and runs through August 15. - Michelle Garcia

Hs20140523_7_07. MUSIC: Me. I Am Mariah ... The Elusive Chanteuse, Mariah Carey
She's in on the joke, right? We hope so, because that title is ridiculous -- how is a woman who appears on social media, in reality competitions, and in music videos (mostly half-naked) elusive? Maybe it's something about her powerhouse voice not getting as much attention as it should? The album, out Tuesday, is getting decent reviews even though singles like "You're Mine (Eternal)" and "Thirsty" are not high points in Mariah's career. "Beautiful" is more like it, Mimi. - Neal Broverman

Hs20140523_6_06. THEATER: If You See Something, Say Something!
Drag star Jackie Beat, the self-proclaimed "bastard child of 'Weird' Al Yankovic and Bette Midler," offers her bold, bawdy brand of comedy in a new show premiering this weekend at the Laurie Beechman Theater in New York City. She promises a barrage of f bombs and more in an explosive evening of pop-tune parodies. Two nights only, Saturday and Sunday; find info and tickets here. - Trudy Ring

Hs20140523_5_05. MUSIC: "Sayit," Royksopp, Robyn
Scandinavian collaborators Royskopp and Robyn are busy promoting their mini-album, Do It Again, and here comes the new video for the single "Sayit." The song and video are classic R&R: dancey, a little weird, hard to take your eyes off. See the video below, featuring lots of jarring editing, barking dogs, jumping chickens, and exploding roses. - Neal Broverman

Hs20140523_4_04. MUSIC: "DTF, " Adore Delano
Adore Delano may have lost to Bianca Del Rio in RuPaul's Drag Race season 6, but the drag performer is certainly winning attention for her first music video, "DTF." The edgy video features Delano leading a posse of hand-holding studs and a pregnant woman through a laundromat, where she encounters shocked stares and trades liquid detergent with a shirtless patron. "I always wanted to create a hoodrat raunchy song," Delano said. "'DTF' is grimy, pop, hood shit. I'm really excited because the sound is unlike anything else out there." Watch the video below and find the song on iTunes. - Daniel Reynolds

3. FILM: X-Men: Days of Future Past
In his return to the franchise, director Bryan Singer brings together X-Men young and old through a trick of time travel. Professor X (Patrick Stewart) sends Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) back in time, in order to prevent the destruction of humans and mutants from robots known as Sentinels. The future meets the past, and Wolverine must help the younger generation of mutants, among them characters from the most recent film played by Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, and Michael Fassbender, prevent the end of the world. Watch the trailer below. - Daniel Reynolds

2. EVENT: International Mr. Leather
I know, I know -- it's already that time of year that gays don their best leather accouterments and come together for three days at one of the biggest leather and fetish events in the world. But it's not just the annual contest for Mr. Leather and Mr. Bootblack that leaves people coming back for more every year. At this massive gathering in Chicago, you can buy leather goodies, learn about the history of leather culture, meet tons of others who are into the scene, or simply party like a mad man. 1. TV: The Normal Heart
An all-star ensemble, including Mark Ruffalo, Julia Roberts, Matt Bomer, and Taylor Kitsch, isn't the only reason to watch The Normal Heart. The HBO film is based on the 1985 play of the same name by Larry Kramer, which documented the early days of AIDS crisis in New York City through the eyes of the character Ned Weeks, the founder of a prominent HIV and AIDS organization loosely based on the real-life group Gay Men's Health Crisis. Directed by Ryan Murphy, The Normal Heart premieres Sunday at 9 p.m. Eastern on HBO. Watch the trailer below. - Daniel Reynolds
