Welcome to… Jonathan Bailey.

The first images for the upcoming Jurassic World Rebirth film have been released, including one showing off star and out heartthrob Jonathan Bailey.

The sequel has been in the works for a while now, with Bailey being announced as part of the cast early this year, joining Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali. This seventh film in the Jurassic Park franchise starts with an all-new group of characters, and now, we know a little bit about them.

According to the film's official summary, it takes place five years after Jurassic World Dominion, when "the planet's ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs."

"Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived. The three most colossal creatures within that tropical biosphere hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind," it continues.

Bailey is playing Dr. Henry Loomis, a paleontologist who seemingly works together with Johansson's character. Her character, Zora Bennett, is a covert ops expert who has been hired to lead the team extracting the dinosaur DNA. Ali plays her partner Duncan Kincaid.

Other details from the movie include the group meeting a family "whose boating expedition was capsized by marauding aquatic dinos," and has become "stranded on an island where they come face-to-face with a sinister, shocking discovery that's been hidden from the world for decades."

In addition to Bailey, Johansson, and Ali, the film stars Rupert Friend, Philippine Velge, Bechir Sylvain, Ed Skrein, Manuel Garcia-Ruflo, Luna Blaise, David Iacono, and Audrina Miranda.

The film is being directed by Gareth Edwards and was written by David Koepp, who wrote the original Jurassic Park movie. It hits theaters July 2, 2025.
