With 2024 coming to a close it's time to start getting psyched about the year to come — and when it comes to queer TV and movies, there is plenty to be excited about. From the awesomely queer cast of the new season of The Traitors to the bisexual awakening inXO, Kitty to the intrigue and gay romance of Severance, January is, ironically, bringing the heat.

But that’s not all, this month also sees a new set of drag superstars heading into the Werk Room, supernatural shenanigans are a foot in some queer horror films, and we can't wait to giggle with the Upshaw family again. Yep, there is going to be something for everyone in January. So on that note, here is what we're going to be watching all month long and where you can watch them, too.

Southern Hospitality Season 3 - Jan 2

The Queen of King Street, Leva Bonaparte, and her staff – Joe Bradley, Bradley Carter, TJ Dinch, Maddi Reese and Emmy Sharrett – are back for an unforgettable summer of work, play and debauchery. Southern Hospitality Season 3.

Lady Like - January 3

The pages of RuPaul's Drag Race season 14 runner-up, Lady Camden's fairytale story are filled with growth, discovery, and a passion for performance in this vivid personal portrait. A student of dance, Camden performed ballet across many international stages before lip syncing on the Drag Race catwalk. When Camden’s professional ballet career unexpectedly ends, she discovers drag as a way to find joy and community. It catapults her to stardom - and the glittering highs and challenging lows of life as an international drag celebrity. Born in the UK, Camden (aka Rex Wheeler) recounts a difficult childhood, and explores how Lady Camden helped Rex deal with his past traumas and embrace the joys of life. Narrated by fellow Drag Race star, Nina West.

RuPaul's Drag Race (Season 17) - Jan 3

This season, 14 dazzling new queens enter the Werk Room to compete for the title of “America’s Next Drag Superstar” and a cash prize of $200,000 for the winner.

In the premiere episode, the new cast of queens will compete in “Drag Queens Got Talent” and this season will bring back the gag-worthy “Rate-A-Queen” scoring system, but with an all-new twist.

Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches Season 2 - Jan 5

Based on Anne Rice’s Lives of the Mayfair Witches, Mayfair Witches is an exploration of female power and the mortal implications of our decisions. Mayfair Witches focuses on an intuitive young neurosurgeon (Alexandra Daddario) who discovers that she is the unlikely heir to a family of witches. As she grapples with her newfound powers, she must contend with a sinister presence that has haunted her family for generations.

The Upshaws (Season 6) - Jan 9

Bennie Upshaw (Mike Epps), the head of a Black working-class family in Indianapolis, is a charming, well-intentioned mechanic and lifelong mess just trying his best to step up and care for his family — wife Regina (Kim Fields), their two young daughters (Khali Spraggins, Journey Christine) and firstborn son (Jermelle Simon), the teenage son (Diamond Lyons) he fathered with another woman (Gabrielle Dennis) -- and tolerate his sardonic sister-in-law (Wanda Sykes), all without a blueprint for success. But the Upshaws are determined to make it work, and make it to the next level, together.

The Traitors (Season 3) - Jan 9

The Emmy award-winning series, The Traitors is a nail-biting psychological adventure in which treachery and deceit are the name of the game. The entertainment industry’s most competitive reality stars and famous faces play the ultimate murder mystery game. Hosted by award-winning actor Alan Cumming at an ancient castle set deep in the Scottish Highlands, contestants work together on a series of exhilarating missions to build a prize fund worth up to $250,000. Hidden amongst the Faithful are the Traitors, whose goal is to eliminate the Faithful and claim the prize for themselves. Under the cover of darkness, the Traitors murder the Faithful one by one in a treacherous spree, while the Faithful try to uncover the Traitors and banish them from the game. If the Faithful contestants banish all the Traitors, they will share the prize fund, but if a Traitor or Traitors makes it to the end, they will steal all the money.

Miss Scarlet (Season 5) - Jan 12

Miss Scarlet (formerly titled Miss Scarlet and The Duke) follows Eliza Scarlet, Victorian London’s first-ever female detective.

Kate Phillips (Peaky Blinders) is the headstrong Miss Scarlet. The cast also includes Cathy Belton (Philomena) as Ivy, housekeeper and mother figure to Eliza, and Felix Scott (The Crown, Grantchester) as Patrick Nash, another private eye whom Eliza crosses paths with, among others.

XO, Kitty (Season 2) - Jan 16

Kitty returns to Seoul ready for a fresh start, but her plan for a drama-free semester fizzles fast amid new faces, messy crushes and family secrets.

Harley Quinn (Season 5) - Jan 16

The fifth season of Harley Quinn finds Harley (Kaley Cuoco) and Ivy (Lake Bell) in a new location: Metropolis! – the home of all things Superman, Lois Lane, and the Daily Planet. Harley and Ivy discover that something sinister is at play and all is not what it seems. Looming threats include Lex Luthor and his sister, Lena Luthor, plus fan-favorite Brainiac. But of course, Harley’s crew of misfits and allies will join her on this irreverent journey that takes no prisoners in having fun in the DC sandbox.

Castlevania: Nocturne (Season 2) - Jan 16

Now joined by the legendary Alucard, Richter Belmont and his band of vampire hunters are in a desperate race against time. Erzsebet Báthory, the Vampire Messiah, who already seems invincible, seeks the full power of the goddess Sekhmet so she can plunge the world into endless darkness and terror.

One of Them Days - January 17

Best friends and roommates Dreux (Keke Palmer) and Alyssa (SZA) are about to have One of Them Days. When they discover Alyssa’s boyfriend has blown their rent money, the duo finds themselves going to extremes in a comical race against the clock to avoid eviction and keep their friendship intact.

Severance (Season 2) - Jan 17

In Severance, Mark Scout (Adam Scott) leads a team at Lumon Industries, whose employees have undergone a severance procedure, which surgically divides their memories between their work and personal lives. This daring experiment in “work-life balance” is called into question as Mark finds himself at the center of an unraveling mystery that will force him to confront the true nature of his work… and of himself.

In season two, Mark and his friends learn the dire consequences of trifling with the severance barrier, leading them further down a path of woe.
