Ex-Pussycat Doll Jessica Sutta has been blazing a solo career as an EDM lioness since her single "Show Me" prowled its way to the top of the Billboard Dance chart in 2011-- making her the first member of the former girl group to hit no. 1 as a solo artist.
Now the singer/songwriter is back again with the new delicious dance track "Candy."
The sexy song is only a taste of what fans can expect to hear from Sutta's upcoming album Feline Resurrection, due in early next year.
"I worked on the song with two very talented and great people, Lil Eddie (Eddie Serrano), who has incredible penmanship and a true ear for melodies, and S-X, my 21-year-old super producer," says Sutta says of the track. "We sat in the studio and the energy was vibrating with a beautiful creative flow and we didn't leave until we had created some sexy, delicious, yummy candy."
Over the years as both a member of the Pussycat Dolls and a solo performer, Sutta has enjoyed the support of a large LGBT fan base - a fact the performer says is dear to her heart.
"To get love and support from the strong and beautiful LGBT community means the world to me," she says. "I've always been a supporter of equal rights and had my heart ache listening to close friends tell stories of being bullied and alienated because of sexual orientation and/or gender identity. And though ignorance, fear and hatred still exist, it feels like the right voices are starting to be heard and things are changing slowly but surely. We have to keep pushing for true equality and oneness."
