One Direction's Harry Styles hinted he may not be totally straight in a recent interview with On Demand Entertainment.

The singer and his bandmate Liam Payne were asked by ODE's Lucy Jones what their favorite traits were in a girl and when Payne responded first by saying, "Female. That's an important trait," Styles shook his head and interjected, "Not that important."

Instead he listed "sense of humor" and being "nice to people" as traits he admired.

Though the pop star's comment is far from a confirmation he's something other than a Kinsey 0, it does highlight his positive attitude about the spectrum of sexuality and gender.

Styles has been a strong ally of the LGBT community over the past couple of years and even donned a Michael Sam jersey during One Direction's concert at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis in August in a show of support for the out NFL player when his status on the final St. Louis Rams roster was still pending.
