Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney Are Engaged

Lady Gaga and long-time boyfriend Taylor Kinney are engaged to be married, reports Us magazine.

Kinney reportedly proposed on Valentine's Day with the couple celebrating at Gaga's family restaurant, Joanne Trattoria, in Manhattan that evening.

The LGBT music icon confirmed the news via Instagram Monday, February 16 with a photo of her heart-shaped diamond ring and the caption, "He gave me his heart on Valentine's Day, and I said YES!"

Gaga, who recently won the Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album Grammy award along with Tony Bennett for their duet album Cheek to Cheek, has repeatedly fought for LGBT equality since the earliest days of her career, taking every opportunity to voice her support in interviews, during acceptance speeches, and even in televised performances.

Though she has been accused of pandering to LGBT fans and had her sexuality questioned in the past, Mother Monster has continued to push forward for LGBT civil righs and defended her bisexuality in a 2013 interview, saying, "you know what? It's not a lie that I am bisexual and I like women, and anyone that wants to twist this into 'she says she's bisexual for marketing,' this is a fucking lie. This is who I am and who I have always been."
