Tony-winning gay icon Elaine Stritch, who brightened Broadway in shows such as Sail Away, Company, and A Little Night Music, passed away in July at age 89. Remember her fondly on DVD in Chiemi Karasawa's 2013 documentary, Elaine Stritch: Shoot Me, which features folks like Nathan Lane, Cherry Jones, and Paul Iacono.
FUN HOME
Your friends already got the new Hedwig cast recording from their sugar daddies. Jeanine Tesori and Lisa Kron's adaptation of Bechdel's acclaimed graphic memoir, a hit off-Broadway, opens April 19, 2015, at Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre.
