Amid reports that filmmaker Jules Stewart was walking back her statement seeming to out her daughter, actor Kristen Stewart, as bisexual, The Advocate reached out to London-based journalist Sharon Feinstein, who first broke the story for U.K. tabloid The Mirror.

As it turns out, Stewart did indeed say her daughter was dating another woman -- and the reporter says she has the entire conversation on tape.

"Every word is on tape," Feinstein tells The Advocate via email. "I stand by everything. I have a considerable amount of similar quotes which were not used as I was trying to keep it as discreet as possible but this is a taped on the record interview."

In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, the elder Stewart claims that she did speak with Feinstein, but never spoke about Stewart's love life.

"I spoke to Sharon Feinstein about my film K-11, that has been put on display in the Hollywood Museum," the filmmaker told Us Weekly. "It's currently there under the LGBT banner on the third floor. She also asked me about my views on gay rights, which I was happy to express. Then we talked briefly about the fundraiser I am hosting for TheWolfConnection.org. Never ever did we discuss Kristen!"
