Converse is going over the rainbow.
The footwear company unveiled its Pride 2021 collection, which "pays homage to each person's individual journey of finding joy and freedom in being themselves," according to a release.
Additionally, campaign "explores the duality of struggle and joy along the journey to self-love." To this end, LGBTQ+ figures -- Caleb, Rocio, Tereza, Ty, and Xandro -- were tapped to model the rainbow footwear.
This is the sixth Pride campaign for Converse, which has donated upward of $1.3 million in support of LGBTQ+ charities. This year's campaign benefits the It Gets Better Project and its work to uplift the stories of LGBTQ+ young people on social media platforms like TikTok and Twitch. Additional grants support the Ali Forney Center, BAGLY, and OUT MetroWest.
