Now that same-sex marriage is legal in 30 states, it's getting harder and harder for conservatives to argue against it. Fake right-winger Stephen Colbert summed up the shifting attitudes perfectly by stating his unshakeable stance on same-sex marriage... until it became popular.

With politics surrounding marriage equality becoming so wishy-washy, Colbert was hoping to fall back on his Catholic roots for moral high ground. That is, until the Vatican released a document stating that it will take a more welcoming stance on gay people. "Listen up Pope Fabulous The First, the Lord is perfectly clear on the gays. The first time he saw a naked dude running around, he ripped out his rib and forced him have sex with a woman."
