The Advocate made a cameo appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers.

Tuesday night, Meyers included The Advocate in a roundup of faux reactions to the recent Vatican document that stated gay people and those in same-sex relationships have "gifts and qualities to offer the Christian community."

The talk show broadcasted a mock cover of the LGBT publication, which listed the cover story as, "Last-Minute Gift Ideas for the Catholic Who Suddenly Wants to Be Friends."

In the segment, titled "How They Reported It," Meyers referred to The Advocate as "a popular cultural magazine in the gay community" and added that most of the gifts in the story were "scented candles." The faux cover also advertised the article "150 Reasons to Have Pride" as well as a fall entertainment guide.

The round-up also included mock articles from Buzzfeed ("34 Brunch Places to Go After Mass"), Catholic Digest ("Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!"), AARP ("Pope Says He'll Welcome Gates"), Cosmopolitan ("12 Haircuts That Will Come Out for You"), and The Hollywood Reporter ("Nathan Lane to Portray Pope Francis in Upcoming Biopic").
