The 40th anniversary special of Saturday Night Live was a revolving door of the show's most beloved characters. One highlight came when the first female anchor of "Weekend Update," Jane Curtin, returned to the desk alongside Tina Fey and Amy Poehler to reminisce about the show's early days. Curtin took aim at the Fox News Channel.
"Times have changed since I first sat behind this desk," she said. "For example, I used to be the only pretty blonde woman reading the fake news. Now there's a whole network devoted to that."
The "Weekend Update" segment also included a long list of celebrities who wanted to pay their respects by impersonating their favorite SNL characters. Emma Stone did her best impression of Gilda Radner's classic character, Roseanne Roseannadanna. Melissa McCarthy conjured up a spot-on impression of Chris Farley's motivational speaker, Matt Foley. Edward Norton also stepped in to try his best impression of Stefon, before being interrupted by the real Stefon and his husband, Seth Meyers.
