In a hilarious segment on Tuesday's episode of The Daily Show, host Jon Stewart launched an Eminem-inspired edition of the show's ongoing "Democalypse 2016" coverage, likening the Republicans who've so far announced presidential bids to doomed contestants on reality television.
"You know the beginning of the season on the Big Brother show before they vote all the crazy people out who you know are never going to win?" he asked. "That's where we are at in the Republican presidential race."
Stewart, with his trademark brand of snark, specifically singled out notoriously antigay figures Carly Fiorina, Ben Carson, and Mike Huckabee. His best critique, though, was that of Huckabee's antigay remarks in his announcement speech, in which he called for a return to "the biblical principles of natural marriage."
"Many of our politicians have surrendered to the false god of judicial supremacy," Huckabee said in the speech.
"Or, as your founding father dinner-mates once called it, the constitutional rule of law," Stewart responded, referring to Huckabee's wife's introduction of the former governor, which asked listeners to imagine themselves at a dinner party with George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and other founding fathers.
