James Bond and Jason Bourne may share more than the same initials.
The most prominent secret agents in film also have a secret attraction to one another -- or so says Funny or Die in a new parody trailer for My Secret Agent.
Funny or Die splices together scenes from past films to reimagine actors Daniel Craig and Matt Damon as secret lovers, exchanging longing glances amid shirtless scenes on the beach.
"You've got a secret, something you can't tell anyone," a character tells Bond, as a picture of him with his arm around Bourne appears.
Spectre, perhaps the last film to feature Daniel Craig as agent 007, premiered last weekend. It grossed $117.8 million internationally, despite mixed reviews from critics, speaking to the strength of the popular spy franchise.
The parody trailer is released amid a debate as to who should play the next James Bond. Historically, the part has always gone to white male actors, and many have called for a more diverse successor who might be black, a woman, or LGBT.
