Kim Davis, Donald Trump Named Mad Magazine’s Dumbest of 2015

MAD Magazine

The xenophobic presidential candidate and the Kentucky clerk who refused to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples get lampooned by the long-running humor mag.

Mad magazine thumbs its nose at the "20 Dumbest People, Events and Things" of 2015 in its latest issue, and several right-wing darlings had no trouble securing spots on the list. Among them are Donald Trump (who graces the upcoming issue's cover) and Rowan County, Ky., clerk Kim Davis, who became a household name after breaking the law by refusing "under God's authority" to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.

Davis's status as the "doll of intolerant ideologues everywhere" inspired Mad to skewer the sanctimonious civil servant by presenting the newest plastic princess suitable for children of homophobic parents everywhere -- Kim, the "All-American Girl."

As the parody states, Kim comes with "court orders and Supreme Court decisions to ignore, plus a darling miniature Bible, severely abridged to only contain those verses which Kim finds convenient to obey."

There's even a sneak peek at the adventures of Kim's easy-to-read chapter books, Kim Cherry-Picks Passages from The Bible, Kim and the Presidential Candidate Who Never Was, and Kim and Her New Gay Friends.

The issue is available now on iTunes and hits newsstands December 15. Check out the full Davis parody below. (Click on the image to enlarge.)
