Beyonce shocked -- and confused -- the music world Tuesday when it was announced she'd be performing at the Country Music Awards.
While country music tends to cater to a more conservative fanbase, news of Queen Bey's performance helped bump the annual awards show to its highest ratings ever. This also meant that many LGBT people were experienceing the CMAs for their first time.
