"If God had wanted men to be funny, he probably wouldn't have created woman, so there's that," says Allison Janney, joined by Kate McKinnon and other funny women in a table-turning video.
"When I think about men I think kitchen," says actress Tracee Ellis Ross as she contemplates what if any role men can play in comedy, in a video produced by People magazine.
Fellow female comedians agree with Ross, questioning, among other things, whether men are even capable of being funny. Niecy Nash is unsure. Alison Janney says she hasn't "seen it," while Full Frontal host Samantha Bee says, "It just doesn't feel possible."
However, out Saturday Night Live cast member and Ghostbusters star Kate McKinnon holds out hope: "I remember watching Old School and thinking like, Oh, my God, they made a funny movie with men, this is going to catch on, certainly -- and then it kinda didn't."
Watch these women turn the tables on comedic sexism.
