LGBT Tweeters Take Apart Trump, Lauer, Johnson's Aleppo Gaffe

LGBT wits on Twitter had much to say about this interesting week in politics.

It's been a memorable week for politics, starting with Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump's back-to-back appearances at the televised Commander-in-Chief Forum, the subsequent backlash against host Matt Lauer for going soft on Trump, Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson's on-air admission that he doesn't know what Aleppo is, and finally Trump's appearance at the notoriously socially conservative Values Votes Summit. Thankfully, LGBT Twitter is here to help us unpack. First was the Commander-in-Chief Forum, during which Clinton once again had to answer questions about emails and Trump cozied up to anti-LGBT Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The next day, the hashtag #laueringthebar appeared in response to Matt Lauer's indefensibly toothless job interviewing Trump and allowing him to lie and evade answers unchecked.

This was followed quickly by Gary Johnson's Aleppo gaffe, which tweeters were quick to both mock and relate to.

And finally, Trump became the first presidential candidate to attend the anti-LGBT Values Voter Summit, and twitter sounded off about the crazy things he said there.

With a choice so obvious, we have to agree with Amanda Kerri when she says:
