Randy Rainbow's latest video takes on Attorney General William Barr's interpretation of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report, which Barr sees as exonerating Donald Trump of any wrongdoing -- but the report actually doesn't.

"Little clown crying 'no collusion,'" Rainbow sings in "Barr!" set to the tune of "Belle" from Beauty and the Beast. He goes on to lampoon other Trump apologists, such as Kellyanne Conway, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Rudy Giuliani, and Mitch McConnell, at one point memorably saying, "Mitch, please." Rainbow also calls Barr "Roseanne" several times.

"Now, it's no wonder Donald crapped his diaper the day he heard they hired Bob," Rainbow sings. "Because he really did obstruct, he said, 'Oh, my God, I'm fucked,' then he called Bill Barr and offered him the job."

For the record, the Mueller report concluded that Trump's presidential campaign staff did not conspire with Russian operatives to affect the 2016 election, but the campaign did welcome the Russians' help. It also leaves open the question of whether Trump and his administration obstructed justice as Mueller's team investigated. Congress is looking into that.

Trudy Ring is The Advocate’s senior politics editor and copy chief. She has been a reporter and editor for daily newspapers and LGBTQ+ weeklies/monthlies, trade magazines, and reference books. She is a political junkie who thinks even the wonkiest details are fascinating, and she always loves to see political candidates who are groundbreaking in some way. She enjoys writing about other topics as well, including religion (she’s interested in what people believe and why), literature, theater, and film. Trudy is a proud “old movie weirdo” and loves the Hollywood films of the 1930s and ’40s above all others. Other interests include classic rock music (Bruce Springsteen rules!) and history. Oh, and she was a Jeopardy! contestant back in 1998 and won two games. Not up there with Amy Schneider, but Trudy still takes pride in this achievement.
