Gov. Andrew Cuomo's handling of the health crisis in New York has garnered him many admiring fans -- including Randy Rainbow.
In a spoof of Grease's "Sandy," the gay satirist, singing from quarantine, channels Danny Zuko (and also a few of the Pink Ladies) to croon his love for "Andy!" as a steadying force during the chaos of the health crisis.
"Stranded in my bedroom, no one to love. Then there he is: my favorite gov!" Rainbow sings as he watches the New York politician on television. "You bring hope when I can't cope. I guess I'm saying ay-ay-ay-oh-I love you so, oh, Andy."
Rainbow praises Cuomo's reassuring daily press briefings, which he contrasted with the comparative terror of President Trump's updates. The singer compliments the governor on "the way you manage to lead and inform without terrifying the living shit out of me or straying from the facts."
"Baby, you're so strong and rational. From now on out, I identify as Cuomosexual," he sings.
In that vein, Rainbow also reveals he daily lights a candle -- naked -- for the governor's hunky brother, Chris Cuomo, who often interviews the politician via webcam. The CNN anchor was diagnosed with the virus and is still working in self-quarantine.
