Randy Rainbow has a new video out, a swinging takedown of Donald Trump in “Grumpy Trumpy Felon From Jamaica in Queens.”
The video opens with Rainbow “interviewing” Trump in the wake of the former president’s indictment on business fraud charges related to a hush money payment to adult-film star and TV host Stormy Daniels. Of course, Trump protests that he’s done nothing wrong and adds his usual claims about election interference causing him to lose the presidency.
Rainbow suggests a new campaign slogan for Trump, and then the video cuts to a song set to the tune of “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company B,” first recorded by the Andrews Sisters in 1941 and popularized anew by Bette Midler in 1972. Rainbow appears in triplicate, imitating the trio of Andrews Sisters.
“He was a sleazy showbiz phony born in NYC / who somehow won the White House over Hillary / then after one term got the sack / when Biden pummeled his ass / but now he wants to come back / and so he’s making scenes / he’s the grumpy Trumpy felon from Jamaica in Queens,” the song begins.
It goes on to note that Trump “looks like a butternut squash” and is “the bloated orange lunatic who’s twice been impeached.” Rainbow also notes Trump’s affection for Russian leader Vladimir Putin, with the former president being “the bootlickin’ little butt boy for the ol’ KGB,” and then the singing comedian highlights Trump’s boasts of grabbing women by their genitalia.
But it’s all best expressed in Rainbow’s performance.
