Randy Capehart was in Houston attending his grandmother's funeral when his jealous boyfriend, Jose Luis Rodriguez, allegedly stabbed his dog to death in a New York City park full of children. Rodriquez reportedly told officer who apprehended him a block away that he suspected Capehart of cheating, according to the Daily Mail.

Capehart, who performs in adult films, said he was woken up on Saturday by a phone call from police informing him his dog, Buddy, was dead. According to the Mail, Rodriguez was arrested a block away from the park covered in the dog's blood.

Rodriquez is charged with aggravated cruelty to an animal, criminal mischief and criminal possession of a weapon, the Mail reported.

Capehart paid tribute to his beloved pet on Facebook after the incident, writing: "It's with a heavy broken heart I have to announce to passing of my beautiful sweet innocent Buddy. He was senselessly killed earlier today by my partner of 13 years. I will spare you the horrific details and sorry to post this post on #NationalLoveYourPetDay or anyday [sic] for that matter. Rest in peace my beautiful angel, I only wish I would have been there to save you REST IN PEACE BUDDY."
