A New Hampshire high school teacher used Grindr to convince his students to send nude photos and arrange sex, police say.

Bruce Lanctot, 40, a world studies teacher at Nashua High School South, is charged with multiple felonies and misdemeanors. For its part, Grindr's terms of service come with an age restriction, requiring users to be at least 18 or face a permanent ban. Yet, Lanctot is accused of exchanging photos with multiple underage boys at the high school.

A mobile dating app that uses geo-location, Grindr finds people who are nearest to you who are also on the app. A Nashua Police Department statement about the accusations reports that victims said it was Lanctot who first contacted them, and that he "later identified himself as a teacher at Nashua High School South." The victims tell police that "Lanctot also indicated he knew he was communicating with Nashua High School South students."

The teacher is on paid administrative leave while released on a $20,000 bond.
