A mother has come forward to claim her child was a victim of Kevin Spacey.

Heather Unruh, an award-winning journalist and former Boston news anchor, said her 18-year-old son was sexually assaulted by the House of Cards actor in July 2016.

At a Wednesday press conference, Unruh tearfully recounted the details of the alleged incident. She said it happened at the Club Car Restaurant in Nantucket, Mass., where Spacey bought the underage teen, who is now a sophomore in college, "drink after drink after drink."

"My son was a star-struck, straight 18-year-old young man who had no idea that the famous actor was an alleged sexual predator or that he was about to become his next victim," Unruh said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "When my son was drunk, Spacey made his move and sexually assaulted him."

"Spacey stuck his hand inside my son's pants and grabbed his genitals," she said. "My son's efforts to shift his body to remove Spacey's hand were only momentarily successful. My son panicked, he froze. He was intoxicated."

In Unruh'a account, Spacey urged her son to attend a private after party. But he was stopped from doing so by a stranger, who "told him to run" after he went to use the restroom.

Unruh said her son, in response, "ran as fast as he could" to his grandmother's nearby home. He arrived there "upset and afraid," waking up his sister and grandmother. Unruh, who was alerted of the alleged attack, traveled there the next day.

"Nothing could have prepared my son for how that sexual assault would make him feel as a man," she said. "It harmed him and it cannot be undone."

"Embarrassment and fear" stopped her son from coming forward sooner, said Unruh. But she said her son filed a police report with the Nantucket Police Department last week and that an investigation is under way.

"I want to see Kevin Spacey go to jail. I want to have the hand of justice come down on him," Unruh said.

Unruh also had a message for Spacey: "Shame on you for what you did to my son. And shame on you for using your apology to Anthony Rapp to come out as a gay man. That was an appalling attempt to deflect attention away from what you really are -- a sexual predator. Your actions are criminal."

On October 29, Rapp, an out actor on Star Trek: Discovery, alleged he was "seduced" by Spacey at age 14. In response, Spacey came out as gay, a move that was criticized as a calculated and dangerous "distraction" by many prominent members of the LGBT community. Since then, a string of accusers against Spacey have come forward with allegations of sexual assault.

A criminal investigation is under way in London, where Spacey once worked as artistic director of the Old Vic theater and allegedly met several of the accusers. Spacey is now enrolled in a treatment program for sex addiction.
