As the guest of honor at Friday's meeting og the College Republican National Committee, Caitlyn Jenner was asked about the Wednesday shooting of Republican Congressman Steve Scalise and others by an unstable supporter of Bernie Sanders.
"First of all, nobody deserves what happened out there," said Jenner, a fervent supporter of the GOP and Donald Trump. "There's no justification. There are crazy people. We have to minimize that type of stuff, As far as the people that were injured, it's an absolute shame. You just want them to recover. Fortunately the guy was a really bad shot ... liberals can't even shoot straight."
Jenner's shocking joke was greeted by peals of laughter and a long round of applause from the young audience.
Jenner did commend the actions of Crystal Griner, an out Capitol Police officer, who helped take down shooter James Hodgkinson. The trans reality star also took time to ridicule the Paris climate accord that Trump just pulled the U.S. out of, saying it was "just a way for the rest of the world to kind of ruin us economically."
