Thanks to incredible crowdfunding from eager fans, EastSiders is back.
The Daytime Emmy-nominated show EastSiders is returning for a six-episode third season (debuting on WolfeOnDemand.com November 28), thanks to an abundance of critical acclaim and crowdfunding support from diehard fans who collectively raised over $80,000. And this time around, the show's creator Kit Williamson is filming on location across America, from New York City to Los Angeles.
"It's a difficult time to be LGBT in America right now, and I wanted to stick a rainbow flag in the tradition of the Great American Road Trip," Williamson said. "LGBT people have the same claim to the beautiful sights of this country as everyone else. By shooting with a skeleton crew, we were able to take the characters out of their comfort zone in a way that few television shows have been able to."
Season three follows Cal (Williamson) and Thom (Van Hansis), who are trying to make their newly "monogamish" relationship work on a road trip to return back west to pick up the pieces of their old life. Naturally, they're met with unexpected twists and turns on the journey home. Will this adventure be the beginning of a new chapter, or the end of an era?
This season's guest stars include Constance Wu, Wilson Cruz, Stephen Guarino, and Traci Lords, to name a few. A finalist for outstanding digital daytime drama series in 2016's Daytime Emmy Awards, EastSiders began on YouTube, made stops on Logo and Vimeo, and is now available on DVD (all three seasons) and streaming from LGBT-owned Wolfe Video as well as streaming-only sites GooglePlay, Fandango, and iTunes.
