During Wednesday night's Republican Presidential Town Hall on CNN, host Anderson Cooper got down to the real issues and grilled some of the GOP's candidates on the things that really matter to voters -- like whether Marco Rubio has ever been to a rave.
"No, I've never been to a rave!" the noted antigay politician and electronic dance music (EDM) enthusiast told Cooper when asked. "It's the Republican primary, Anderson!"
He continued:
"In the last few years what's happened with EDM, you've got these DJs that are taking electronic music and overlaying it with tracks from country music and all sorts of things. So the lyrics are clean, the beats are fun, I've gotten into it."
Cooper and Rubio's humorous discussion about his current music tastes had a very different tone than from earlier on in the town hall, when Cooper asked Rubio about whether he defends calling fellow antigay GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz "a liar" for the way he runs his campaign.
"I said he's been lying because if you say something that isn't true and you say it over and over again, and you know it's not true, there's no other word for it," Rubio said.
