Working Women Balance Life and Love in Freelancers Anonymous
This queer female-led comedy offers laughs and moans.
In a new feature film directed by Sonia Sebastian, Billie (Lisa Cordileone) risks everything when she decides to start a tech company with a group of women called "Freelancers Anonymous," all while making wedding plans with her fiancee, Gayle, played by Carmilla alum Natasha Negovanlis.
In this scene, Billie had just left her old job and had an unsuccessful first meeting with the Freelancers. Gayle decided to resume one of her past side gigs and narrates audiobook erotica under a fake name: "Ann Westgate."
The comedy centers a strong female cast, including trans actress Alexandra Billings (Transparent). Life imitates art as the team behind the film is launching a start up focusing on "giving visibility to women and the LGBTQ community working in STEM industries."
