A Netflix film that centers on a teen questioning his sexual orientation has released its first trailer.

Directed by Craig Johnson (The Skeleton Twins) and produced by Ben Stiller, Alex Strangelove is an upcoming teen comedy that will be released on the streaming platform.

It stars Daniel Doheny as Alex Truelove, a high school senior who "has it all" -- until a commitment to lose his virginity to his girlfriend (Madeline Weinstein) forces him to confront questions about his sexuality.

Helping in that confrontation is Elliott, a gay teen portrayed by out actor Antonio Marziale (Altered Carbon). Their chemistry, as shown in the trailer, leads Truelove to wonder if he prefers his cereal to be "Heter'O's," "Gay-Flakes," or "Bi-Crunchies."

The comedic cast is rounded out by Truelove's friends, among them Daniel Zolghadri (Eighth Grade) and out actor Nik Dodani (Atypical, Murphy Brown), as well as Ayden Mayeri (New Girl), Joanna Adler (American Crime Story: Versace), and Isabella Amara (Wilson).

Alex Strangelove comes out June 8 on Netflix. Watch the trailer below.
