Sometimes it can take three to tango.
In this exclusive clip from Good Kisser, a new film screening at the Outfest Los Angeles LGBTQ Film Festival, Kate (Rachel Paulson) learns some new moves from Mia (Julia Eringer), a stranger whose arrival spices up Kate's relationship with Jenna (Kari Alison Hodge).
The scene ends with the three sitting on the sofa in an erotically charged moment. Will it spark a new chapter -- or lead to an end to Jenna and Kate's romance?
Director Wendy Jo Carlton (Hannah Free, Jamie and Jessie Are Not Together) expounded on Jenna's journey in a statement to The Advocate:
When I was writing the screenplay for Good Kisser, one thing I knew for sure was that Jenna, the protagonist, struggles with low self-esteem and sometimes has social anxiety attacks.
Jenna is a complex character in that she is creative and open-minded, but she also doesn't recognize her own strengths yet. She is on the verge of a breakthrough, and I wanted to show that as it happens.
As the film unfolds, we witness emotional clarity simmering within each of the three women, each having different agendas, who are mutually and erotically drawn together.
This is a story about the joy of physical and intellectual attraction, as we watch Jenna fall both in and out of love in one night. Ultimately, we see her stand up for what matters most in her own heart.
