An acclaimed documentary on the life of Ruth Bader Ginsburg is streaming for free for one day.
Hulu is making the film available Thursday free of charge for 24 hours on its YouTube channel, from 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. RBG is already available to those with a Hulu subscription.
RBG's synopsis: "An intimate portrait of an unlikely rock star: Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. With unprecedented access, the filmmakers explore how her early legal battles changed the world for women."
Ginsburg -- the revered liberal Supreme Court justice -- died last week at age 87 of complications from recurring pancreatic cancer. She was a champion of civil rights for LGBTQ+ people, women, and many others.
In addition to portraying her career history, the 2018 film, directed by Betsy West and Julie Cohen, examines Ginsburg's journey toward becoming a pop culture icon.
The documentary, along with the Ruth Bader Ginsburg biopic On the Basis of Sex, will also be re-released in theaters Friday; all net proceeds will benefit the American Civil Liberties Union Foundation in support of its Women's Rights Project.
