Rachel Maddow channeled the Republican Party's fear and frustrations with their presumptive nominee into beat poetry.

The out MSNBC host, suspending the traditional discourse of a talking head, walked over to a standing microphone and cited "real quotes from real Republicans since Donald Trump was nominated."

"I would like to honor their concerns the only way I know how. By expressing them," she prefaced Thursday night.

With a black-shirted man wearing sunglasses and beating a drum behind her, Maddow recited vitriol from GOP leaders, writers, and figures.

"I'm heartbroken. I'm petrified for the future of this country I love so much," stated Megan McCain.

"Donald Trump is a proto-fascist grotesque ... with zero political experience and poor impulse control," said New York Times columnist Ross Douthat.
