Megyn Kelly, one of the highest-profile anchors at Fox News, has not spoken out publicly about the Roger Ailes controversy, despite reports that she was sexually harassed by the Fox News CEO years ago -- but she did react to tone-deaf comments Eric Trump made about sexual harassment in the workplace.

Eric Trump was asked to respond to comments made by his father, the Republican presidential nominee, who told Kirsten Powers of USA Today that if his daughter was ever sexually harassed at her job, he would advise her to find a new job or career. "I would like to think she would find another career or find another company if that was the case," Donald Trump told Powers, who also contributes to Fox News.

Eric Trump, appearing Tuesday on CBS This Morning, told Charlie Rose, "Ivanka is a strong, powerful woman, she wouldn't allow herself to be [subjected] to it, and by the way, you should take it up with human resources, and I think she would as a strong person, at the same time, I don't think she would allow herself to be subjected to that."

Powers doesn't see the elder Trump's response as viable for women who aren't as financially secure as his daughter. Most women "can't afford to quit their job without another in hand, something that is impossible to do when you are under contract and forbidden to speak to competitors," Powers wrote. She then made a strong point: "Most importantly, why should a woman be expected to upend her career just because she ended up in the crosshairs of some harasser?"

Kelly's response?

A sigh that has been retweeted more than 8,000 times.

Gretchen Carlson, the former Fox News anchor who was the first to go public with sexual harassment accusations against Ailes, also responded Eric Trump's comments via Twitter.

Eric Trump replied to criticism of his commenta via Twitter, calling sexual harassment a "no go."

Powers ended her column by saying, "Women don't cause sexual harassment, harassers do." As Carlson, who alleges that she lost her job because she refused Ailes's sexual advances, wrote in her tweet, it's not about who is strong. She is strong. The culture of a workplace that creates an environment where sexual harassment is tolerated is the problem, not the victim.
