Roseanne Barr, Stormy Daniels

Unabashed Trump supporter Roseanne Barr went after the adult film actress who's his alleged former mistress in an attempt to slut-shame. It didn't work.

When adult film star Stormy Daniels (Stephanie Clifford) first became a household name due to her alleged affair with Donald Trump and the $130,000 in hush money his attorney Michael Cohen paid out to her, it wasn't clear that she would become an arbiter of slut-shaming and consent on Twitter, but that's just what she did when self-professed Trump fan Roseanne Barr came for her with a tweet intended to provoke.

Lifelong button-pusher Barr is back in the spotlight with a successful reboot of her breakout series in which her character reflects Barr's views on Trump but channels the real woman's virulent transphobia and conspiracy theories about Hillary Clinton being part of a sex trafficking ring into the facade of a lovable curmudgeon. While Barr may be fooling her show's audience with her huggable Trump support, she showed her true colors on Twitter in an attempt to slut-shame Daniels, who won't back down from going after the guy in the White House.

The interaction began in response to a back-and-forth Daniels had with a Twitter user whose account has since been suspended.

"You're disgusting and do not represent classy women AT ALL! Your fifteen minutes of fame will be up soon and we will all be thrilled when that day comes!" the tweeter who went by the handle Sassy Southern Diva wrote, prompting others to chime in.

Oscar-winner and ardent tweeter Patricia Arquette was the first to respond to the comment.

That's when Barr dropped in with her attempt to shame Daniels.

Arquette fired back on Daniels's behalf with a summation of Trump's transgressions with which Barr has never publicly taken issue.

As did Chrissy Teigen.

When all was said and done, however, Daniels had it covered with a clapback that hearkened to Barr's unfunny, disrespectful rendition of the national anthem.

Daniels's tweet was a solid rejoinder to Barr's attempt at being filthy. But it was in her response to one commenter who asserted that the adult film star had made a name for herself doing anal scenes that Daniel broke down the problem with Barr's tweet with a summation of the facts and a rallying cry for the right of women to have sexual agency without being shamed for it.
