Alex Jones Wants to Execute Journalists, Including Rachel Maddow

Alex Jones and Rachel Maddow

Journalists like Maddow are "traitors" and "scum," according to the far-right conspiracy theorist.

Right-wing conspiracy-monger Alex Jones, emboldened by the release of a summary of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation, is calling for the execution of journalists and media executives who oppose Donald Trump -- and using Rachel Maddow as an example.

In his Monday broadcast on InfoWars, the always-outrageous Jones accused Google and other media companies of selling U.S. secrets to China, and said journalists are "scum" because they've accused him and Trump of being "on foreign payrolls."

"The audacity to point fingers at people like me and Trump and say we're on foreign payrolls," he said in a clip posted by Media Matters for America. "No, you are, and you know it, scum!"

"If you're found guilty of treason, and they want me to kick the switch to open that trapdoor and drop your neck down and snap that son of a bitch, I swear to God I'll pull those levers all day," he continued as an image of MSNBC anchor Maddow flashed on the screen. Her image was shown again as Jones quoted Star Wars' Emperor Palpatine, saying, "You will die."

Jones, a major supporter of Trump, welcomed Attorney General William Barr's summary of Mueller's report. According to Barr, Mueller did not find evidence that Trump and his associates colluded with Russia during the 2016 presidential election. But Mueller left open the possibility that Trump could have engaged in obstruction of justice by trying to interfere with the investigation. Democrats in Congress are calling for the full report to be released.

But Jones appears to feel fully vindicated, and as usual, outraged at the mainstream media. "I am sick of these traitors pissing all over the country and getting away with it," he concluded.
