The out co-captain of the USWNT has drawn the ire of many of Donald Trump's supporters after he put her on blast in a tweet.
Anderson Cooper asked the out soccer star to offer her message to the president on national television.
The USWNT champion posed with teammates Ashlyn Harris and Ali Krieger (who are engaged to each other) and tweeted, 'Gays Rule!'
"For me, to be gay and fabulous during Pride month at the World Cup is nice," the soccer star also told reporters.
Even Korbin Albert's teammates are distancing themselves from the player in light of her social media posts mocking queer people.
The Kristen Stewart-led Charlie's Angels reboot is all about female solidarity, and Rapinoe is the perfect choice to lead a group of "Angels" on the pitch.
Rapinoe spoke about how she and her parents continue to have an open dialogue despite her thinking her dad voted for Trump, who went off on her in a Twitter tirade.
Trump publicly called Rapinoe "unpatriotic" last month for refusing to bend to him. This weekend she was asked to comment on his ugly rhetoric.

The soccer champion said she wouldn't visit the White House of an administration that doesn't share the core values of the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team.
"They offer us a full view of what it means to be a human in the world," Rapinoe said at the Time Women of the Year gala.
Appearing at the White House and before Congress, the out athlete called for gender equity in pay and said women's sports are not "spontaneously combusting" due to trans inclusion.
The soccer star was chosen along with Charlize Theron, Ava Duvernay, Yara Shahid, and Margaret Atwood, among others.
Rapinoe and teammate Christen Press said they are not backing away from their fight for equal pay and they'll see the U.S. Soccer Federation in court.
The soccer champ also said that she's not 100 percent opposed to visiting Donald Trump's White House but that it would take more than he's willing to do.
Rapinoe, Alex Morgan, Ashlyn Harris, Julie Ertz, Carli Lloyd, and more were welcomed home with ticker tape and champagne.
