Big Dipper's ode to a flavored beverage is serving bubbles, boys, and camp.
The world is falling to pieces. But thankfully, queer artists continue to produce works of whimsy to help the world through it.
The latest, Big Dipper's "LaCroix Boi," is a campy ode to a flavored beverage that is a favorite among both hipsters and housewives. It was only a matter of time before a song arrived that took full satirical advantage of this unique intersection.
"LaCroix Boi" does just that, providing a showcase for the "thirsty" sex appeal of carbonation while also understanding the aspirational nature of its faux-French branding -- and varying pronunciations. "Pamplemousse" -- a flavor of LaCroix that translates to "grapefruit" in English -- gets notable attention in the lyrics.
The witty lyrics, niche subject matter, and shirtless backup dancers should cement this as the new song of gay summer. And as an added bonus, Alaska Thunderfuck, the winner of RuPaul's All Stars Drag Race and a notable queer musician herself, makes a cameo in "LaCroix Boi."
And that pamplemousse. Watch the music video below.
