Luke Evans and Welsh National Opera Perform Queen Classic for Pride

The Alienist's Luke Evans and the Welsh National Opera collaborated on a stunning virtual rendition of Queen's "Who Wants to Live Forever" for Pride Cymru, Wales's largest Pride festival.

Festivities were canceled amid ongoing social distancing measures, but the virtual performance takes the viewer to beautiful spots in Wales (Cymru is the Welsh name for the nation) as Evans, the opera singers, and musicians are projected onto buildings and stadiums, often with lighting in the colors of the Pride flag.

"We are delighted to be able to share this video, which celebrates Pride Cymru. We are very grateful to Luke Evans for being so generous with his time, and of course, to our wonderful chorus, orchestra, and the whole team behind the scenes, who exceeded all expectations in bringing this project to life," said Emma Flatley, director of engagement and partnerships for the Welsh National Opera. "The result is an uplifting and fitting way to celebrate Pride, and we hope this collaboration will mark the beginning of a closer partnership with Pride Cymru in the future for many years to come."

Evans, who came out in 2014, recently starred in The Alienist:Angel of Darkness, which aired on TNT and is now available on Amazon Prime. He's also starred in the Hobbit films, Beauty and the Beast, the Fast and Furious franchise, and the queer-themed Professor Marston and the Wonder Women.
