The "Montero" singer is the superhero we've been waiting for.
Lil Nas X's latest stop on the way to total gay pop culture domination dropped on the singer's Twitter yesterday -- a 53-second teaser for his forthcoming album, Montero: The Album, which is an homage to the Marvel cinematic universe opening sequence.
Instead of Iron Man and Thor, the video features Lil Nas X characters including both this "Old Town Road" cowboy and, of course, his pole dancing to hell alter ego. Loki may have come out as bisexual recently, but this is the gay superhero montage fans have been dreaming of, or so it would seem based on the response the video has received on Twitter.

Some expressed concern that the video may be a little too on the nose for Marvel.

The teaser closes with the promise that his debut album is finally "coming soon." It's been a long time coming for a star who broke through with his single "Old Town Road" in 2018 and subsequent EP, 7, in 2019.
This news comes fresh on the heels of Lil Nas X's show-stealing performance at the BET Awards, where the singer ended his performance of "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)" by sharing a passionate kiss with one of his dancers.
