The ninth annual "Art for AIDS Auction," which benefits the University of California, San Francisco, AIDS Health Project, will be held July 15 in San Francisco. More than 250 works of art, including watercolors, photographs, oils, prints, mixed media, bronzes, and art glass, will be displayed and available for bidding. All money raised will benefit the AIDS Health Project, which provides HIV prevention, testing, and support programs for more than 10,000 people each year. The event will begin with a silent auction and reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by the live auction at 7:30 p.m. The auction will be held at Bonhams and Butterfields, 220 San Bruno Ave. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased in advance or at the door. Auction lots can be viewed in advance online at www.artforaids.org. For more information or to purchase tickets call Victoria Karno at (415) 502-5859 or send e-mail to dgnin@itsa.ucsf.edu.
