pleads guilty to kissing student

A former Durham, N.C., high school teacher has pleaded guilty to kissing a 15-year-old student, The [Raleigh] News & Observer reported Friday. The student told 24-year-old Stephen Boyd that she was confused about her sexual orientation and wanted his advice. Boyd took her aside and kissed her on the mouth. Boyd was placed on three years' probation and is required to enroll in a program for sex offenders. If he violates the terms of his probation, he could be required to serve six to eight months in prison, according to the newspaper. The judge also ordered Boyd not to work with minors. (Advocate.com)
