The East Coast premiere of the recently restored 35-millimeter print of the landmark film Parting Glances will take place at New York City's Lincoln Center. Los Angeles's LGBT film festival, Outfest, has partnered with its New York's counterpart, NewFest, to present this screening. The film, which helped launch the careers of Steve Buscemi and Kathy Kinney, was Bill Sherwood's only feature film before his untimely death in 1990. Parting Glances was one of the first films to address the AIDS epidemic. Cast members Kathy Kinney, Richard Ganoung, and John Bolger are scheduled to appear.

A VIP reception is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., with the screening at 7:30 p.m. in the Film Society of Lincoln Center's Walter Reade Theater, 165 W. 65th St., New York City. For tickets visit Newfest.org.
